Santa Cruz City Schools currently has a vacant position on the School Board and is looking for candidates interested in serving out the remaining term of Trustee Dr. Deedee Perez-Granados, resigning effective November 21, 2019. Her current term ends in December 2022.
Santa Cruz City Schools wants to express gratitude to Trustee Perez-Granados for her five years of dedicated service to SCCS students, families and staff. Her leadership has had a positive impact on our governance team and our District.
We invite those interested in the position to request an application by contacting the District Office, or by downloading the application here. To be eligible, applicants must be a District Area II resident (living within the district, but outside the City of Santa Cruz), must be a registered voter, must be a citizen of the state, and not otherwise disqualified from holding a civil office.
Applications are due to the Superintendent’s office no later than 4:00pm on Thursday, December 19, 2019.

The Board will review the applications and conduct the interviews of the final applicants at a special Board meeting on January 8, 2019. After conducting the interviews in open session, the Board will finalize their selection and make the provisional appointment.
