Soquel High was built in 1962 & serves 920 students.
In 2016, after almost 20 years without a Bond investment, the school needed help. Teachers, students, staff, parents & neighbors prioritized the need for an expanded, redesigned library, modernized classrooms, a new pool complex, new fire & water systems and heating/ventilation upgrades.
The project further included refurbished tennis courts, new security cameras,
a new electrical power hub, field refurbishment,
a new stadium snack bar & general modernization.
THE WORK.
Built: Our new pool complex
To provide an elite facility for aquatic sports, we built astate-of-the-art pool and surrounding complex to give our atheletes a source of confidence & pride.
Reimagined: New life for the library
To make a welcoming & beautiful place to study & learn we redesigned & modernized our library, providing a resource space in the heart of campus. Our beautiful redesign gives students a quiet place to study, reflect & focus.
Redesigned: A refreshed first impression
We've modernized our front office and welcome desk to make our administration accessible and welcoming. Now we have a first impression that fits the amazing work of our staff.
MODERNIZATION.
At every school site, you'll see "Modernization" as a banner item. While it varies by site, this normally means:
New Network & Technological Infrastructure
New Efficient & Welcoming Lighting
Upgraded Ventilation & HVAC Systems
Interior Re-design & Beautification
Insulating Window Shades
New Environmentally Conscious Flooring
New Interactive Presentation Screens & Teaching Tools
New Sliding Whiteboards
Window Films to Boost Insulation & HVAC efficiency (did you know studies show learning ability plummets in rooms over 75 degrees?)
New Cabinetry & Storage Solutions
