Information Technology

SCCS provides an innovative and engaging learning environment for 6,307 students throughout our ten school sites.  Our new network infrastructure has demonstrated the capacity to endure a 3:1 device-to-student ratio for our schools.

As we continue to implement classroom technologies for our teachers and students, it is very apparent that student interaction and engagement are inevitable.

The IT department is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and support of:

Wide-area network (WAN) connecting school sites and district office to each other and the Internet
Local area networks (LAN) on each campus that provide Internet access to the classrooms
Wireless networking on campuses
Student Information Systems managing all aspects of student records
Gmail services for every employee and student at SCCS
Virtual Machines (VMs) - district servers that support administration for data analysis, backup, disaster recovery, Nutrikids, and VoIP solution.
