Our District

Santa Cruz City Schools is composed of an elementary and a high school district governed by a common Board of Education and a general administrative staff. There are six schools serving nearly 2,220 students in the elementary district, including a Dual Immersion Program. The secondary district includes two middle schools, three comprehensive high schools, a continuation school, an independent studies program and a home school program with a combined population of approximately 4,540 students. One of our district goals is to recruit, select, and retain outstanding employees to educate and serve the students of Santa Cruz City Schools. Santa Cruz is located on northern California's world famous Monterey Bay. The temperate climate draws people from all over.
