CTE Welding Teacher Laurie Hildebrand surprised with $50,000 Teaching Prize

Soquel CTE Welding teacher Laurie Hildebrand was awarded the Harbor Freight Tools for Schools Prize for Teaching Excellence in a surprise ceremony on Tuesday, October 8th while teaching. See the moment here:

Laurie is one of 25 Award Recipients across the country who were recognized for their work in teaching skilled trade courses in High School. In her 16 years as a CTE Welding teacher, Laurie has taught her college-prep courses where students can explore career skills and pathways at school.

We are so grateful to Harbor Freight Tools for Schools for recognizing the indispensable work of Career Education teachers! And we're so proud of Laurie Hilderbrand!
